Dubstar is Client*
One of my favorite bands has always been Dubstar. So, naturally, I was excited when rumors of their fourth and long overdue album begun circulating autumn last year. As it turns out, this is never going to happen. In November Sarah Blackwood announced that she is not going to participate in the making of the album and dedicates to her new band Client.
Having not really paid attention to what happened to the band, I always figured it sort of faded away to a place where all the good bands go when they are wise enough to stop before their vocalist dies in a heroin overdose or become so boring that even the truest fans give up on them… I didn’t know anything about Client. But, you know what? It totally rocks and does so for a few various reasons. Main one being that instead of a bald guy, a nerd and a beauty (Dubstar) you get three girls in Scandinavian airline hostess uniforms. How awesome is that?!
I know this sounds completely stupid and extremely unfair to Steve and Chris, but Sarah’s vocals have always been the key thing that makes Dubstar. Without her it will never be the same.
